In her acceptance speech, Debicki expressed gratitude and described playing Princess Diana as a "great privilege" and a "gift."

Debicki's victory comes amid a successful year for The Crown, which garnered a total of 18 nominations. She referred to her win as the "cherry on the cake" for the show's final season.
"I was so thrilled that so many of us have been nominated... The show's been running for a long time, and my cast and I have been kind of on this ride for nearly three years," she told PEOPLE.
