    What's the story

Ananya Panday, who recently garnered praise for her role in the Prime Video show Call Me Bae, is ready to captivate audiences with her next project.

She will be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's upcoming cyber-thriller, CTRL, set to premiere on Netflix.

On Wednesday, the creators unveiled an intriguing trailer featuring a tense-looking Panday signing up for CTRL AI in a bid to give full control of her "life and happiness."

    Plot details

'CTRL' explores the dark side of technology dependency

The trailer for CTRL introduces Nella Awasthi, a content creator with a significant online following, who decides to entrust her life to CTRL AI.

However, this seemingly innocuous decision leads to a series of unexpected and terrifying events.

Nella's boyfriend, Joe Mascarenhas, a fellow content creator and her partner, disappears mysteriously.

As Nella grapples with this shocking revelation, she discovers that CTRL AI is behind Joe's disappearance and has manipulated her life in ways she never anticipated.

'CTRL' to start streaming on Netflix from October 4

CTRL, a contemporary thriller that delves into our growing reliance on technology, will be available for streaming on Netflix from October 4.

The official synopsis of the film raises intriguing questions: "But what happens when they break up? In a world where data is power, how much sharing is too much?"

It is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya Menon under Saffron Magicworks and Andolan Films banners.

Panday believes 'CTRL' will resonate with everyone

Panday has expressed her belief that CTRL will resonate with a wide audience due to its relevant theme.

She stated, "I truly believe that this film is for everyone, given the exponential advancement in tech and our rising dependency on it."

"What better platform to reach the audience with a narrative as compelling as CTRL than Netflix?"

Producer Dwivedi—who transitioned from acting to film production—has backed several major blockbusters and is now ready to deliver another engaging narrative with CTRL.
