    What's the story

    The Supreme Court, on Thursday, passed the historic judgement of decriminalizing Section 377.

    The judgment was passed by SC's five-judge Constitutional bench headed by CJI Dipak Misra.

    SC's decision of reading down the British-era law was hailed by everyone.

    Notably, Bollywood celebrities also touted it as the 'victory of love'.

    Karan Johar said India got its oxygen back

    Alia Bhatt tweeted, "Love is love Such a momentous day in the history of our country!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! #Section377 #PrideIndia"

    Karan Johar lauded the verdict and wrote, "Historical judgment!!!! So proud today! Decriminalising homosexuality and abolishing #Section377 is a huge thumbs up for humanity and equal rights! The country gets its oxygen back!"
