    What's the story

Cast Salman Khan in a movie, add oodles of non-sense to it. And, the one thing you are guaranteed to achieve is big moolah at box office.

His latest flick, Bharat is no exception to this - it is insufferable, and is still smashing records at box office.

So far, the film has raked in Rs. 150 crore, despite competition from the ongoing Cricket World Cup.

    Twitter Post

Here is the film's day-wise business so far

    Information

Meanwhile, Salman thanked fans for such tremendous response

Following the film's bumper first-day collection at the box office, Salman took to social media to thank his fans for such tremendous response. "Big thank you to all for giving me my career's biggest opening ever," the superstar tweeted.

    Twitter Post

    Streak

    Salman's 100-crore streak continues

Evidently, Salman is the biggest crowd-puller of Bollywood, with Bharat marking his 14th consecutive film to enter Rs. 100 crore club.

His undisputed streak of Rs. 100 crore club films began with the release of Dabangg, followed by films like Ready, Bodyguard, and Ek Tha Tiger.

Interestingly, Bhai also has three films in Rs. 300 crore club, and two in Rs. 200 crore club.

    Film

'Bharat' is based on South-Korean film 'Ode To My Father'

Bharat, which released on Eid, this month, has been written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

Based on South Korean melodrama film, Ode To My Father (2014), Bharat traces the life of a man in the backdrop of Indian independence and post-Independence history.

The ensemble cast of the film includes Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover, Tabu, and Disha Patani.
