    What's the story

Bollywood heartthrobs Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are two of the most sought-after actors in the industry, not only for fans, but also for directors.

Interestingly, the duo might swap directors for their upcoming films.

Confused? As it turns out, Rajkumar Hirani will be directing SRK in his next, while Farhan Akhtar might choose Ranbir for his next venture.

    Here are the details.

    Details

Shah Rukh in Hirani's next; Ranbir to be new 'Don'?

Rumor has it that Sanju director Rajkumar Hirani will be directing Shah Rukh in his next movie. This will be the duo's first collaboration. Interestingly, SRK was also the original choice for the role of Munna Bhai.

Ranbir, on the other hand, is all set to be the new Don, as he will be directed by Farhan Akhtar in the franchise's latest installment.

To note, SRK is going through a rough phase, professionally.

He was last seen in Aanand L. Rai directorial Zero, alongside Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

The film revolved around the extraordinary journey of Bauua Singh (SRK), a dwarf from a small town, who falls in love with Aafia, a scientist suffering from cerebral palsy.

However, the film was a complete debacle.

    Ranbir

Ranbir to star in Ayan Mukherji's 'Brahmastra'

Ranbir Kapoor, who was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's blockbuster Sanju, based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt, will be starring in Ayan Mukherji's ambitious, big-budget fantasy-drama, Brahmastra.

The movie also features Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy in lead roles.

Serving as the first film in a planned trilogy, it is slated to release in Summer, 2020.
