    Legendary Indian singer, Asha Bhosle, recently expressed her views on women who perceive childbearing as a burden.

    During a conversation with spiritual leader Ravi Shankar, she shared her personal experience of raising three children single-handedly while pursuing a successful career.

    "Nowadays, women think childbearing is a burden...I started working as a playback singer at the age of 10," she said.

    "During this time, I had three children...I executed all the responsibilities successfully and single-handedly."

    Bhosle reflected on her personal journey and societal changes

    Bhosle, who began her career at a young age, reflected on her personal journey of balancing work and family.

    She stated, "I did all this when I was a busy professional, working day and night. Yet, I looked after my children, their studies."

    The singer also expressed concern over the increasing divorce rates among couples today.

    "Nowadays, I hear about couples sending divorce papers every month... I feel that the love between them ends very soon."

    Bhosle, affectionately known as Asha Tai, is renowned for her playback singing in Hindi cinema. Her career began in 1943 and has spanned over six decades.

    In 2011, she was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most-recorded artist in music history.

    She has also been honored with prestigious awards such as the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
