    'The Accidental Prime Minister': Kher's first look as Manmohan Singh

    Anupam Kher's first look as Dr. Manmohan Singh in the upcoming movie 'The Accidental Prime Minister' has piqued the interest of movie buffs.

    The uncanny resemblance between the two has become a topic of discussion on the social media.

    The biopic on the former PM is based on a book by Sanjaya Baru called 'The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh'.

    The actor himself revealed the first look

    Akshaye Khanna will portray Sanjaya Baru

    Akshaye Khanna has been roped in to play Sanjaya Baru, Singh's media adviser.

    Talking about his character, Khanna told a news portal, "My role in the movie is outstanding and the screenplay divine. I am thrilled and excited to be a part of a venture which will be pathbreaker."

    Also, German actress Suzanne Bernett will be portraying former Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

    A massive starcast

    The biopic will feature over 140 actors

    Apart from Khanna and Bernett, 'The Accidental Prime Minister' will have actor Arjun Mathur essaying Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Arjun has previously worked in films like 'My Name Is Khan' and 'Luck By Chance'.

    The movie has been raising eyebrows as it will be hitting the screens on 21 December, just months before the 2019 general elections.
