The starcast of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' is getting bigger by the day. The latest actress to join the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's biopic is Aahana Kumra.
Aahana was last seen in the critically acclaimed 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' in 2017.
The actress will be portraying Priyanka Gandhi in the film based on a book by Sanjaya Baru .

Here's what Aahana told a leading daily
"Yes, I have been approached to play the role of Priyanka Gandhi in the film. We are still working on the look and once that is done and we are satisfied with it, we'll start the shoot. I am beyond excited to play this role," Aahana said.

Anupam Kher will play the titular role
'The Accidental Prime Minister' will have Anupam Kher essaying Manmohan Singh, whereas Akshay Khanna will be playing Sanjaya Baru.
The movie is based on Baru's book titled 'The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh' and will be releasing on December 21, just months before the 2019 general elections.
