Alia Bhatt has Attention Deficit Disorder: What is this condition
Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt recently opened up about her struggle with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) in an interview with Allure magazine. She revealed that this condition was the reason behind her refusal to sit for two hours for her wedding makeup. The actor is known for her preference for minimal makeup and shared that she applies this approach even on special occasions like her wedding. Here, let's understand what this disorder is.
Bhatt's refusal to sit for 2 hours for wedding makeup
Bhatt shared that her makeup artist, Puneet B. Saini, had requested two hours to do her makeup on her wedding day. However, the actor declined this request due to her ADD. She said, "On my wedding day, my makeup artist, Puneet [B. Saini] was like, 'Alia, this time, you need to give me two hours.' I told her, 'You've lost it. Especially on my wedding day...'"
'Whatever needs to happen needs to happen fast...'
Despite experimenting with makeup for photoshoots and films, Bhatt revealed that her usual approach to beauty is quick and simple. She said during the interview, "Whatever needs to happen needs to happen fast." The 31-year-old actor further explained, "It needs to be something that you can do very quickly. I have ADD and don't have interest in investing too much time."
Understanding what ADD is all about
ADD stands for Attention Deficit Disorder, a condition characterized by difficulties with attention, focus, and impulse control. It is often used to describe a type of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) that primarily involves attention issues without the hyperactivity component. People with ADD may struggle to stay organized, follow through on tasks, and maintain focus, which can impact various areas of life, including school and work.
