What's the story
Kapil Sharma's popular comedy show The Great Indian Kapil Show is set to return with its second season on Saturday (September 21).
The first episode of the new season will feature prominent Bollywood personalities Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, and Vedang Raina. The trio will be promoting their upcoming film Jigra.
A promo for the show was released on Wednesday, offering a glimpse into the fun-filled episode.

'As if you became friends...'
In the promo, the host asks KJo how he perceives Bhatt: as a friend, a daughter, or a phoopi (aunt). Johar responds, saying, "For me, she is my first daughter."
Johar also mentioned, "I have helped many people progress their relationships. However, I am single."
Bhatt then shared, "I want to share one thing about Karan—he has a strong sixth sense. When Ranbir Kapoor and I became friends..." Karan interjected with a laugh, "As if you became friends..."

Bhatt introduces herself as 'Alia Bhatt Kapoor'
In the show's promo, Bhatt is seen having a great time, with Sharma and his team entertaining the audience with their humor.
In one scene, comedian Kiku Sharda dresses up as Bhatt's character from Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Another interesting moment features Sunil Grover addressing Bhatt by her name, to which she corrects him saying, "I am Alia Bhatt Kapoor."
This marks her first official introduction post-wedding in April 2022.

'Jigra' is set to hit theaters in October
The episode will also serve as a promotional platform for the upcoming film Jigra, which stars Bhatt and is co-produced by Johar. The recently released trailer of the movie has garnered positive reviews from fans.
In Jigra, Bhatt portrays a determined sister trying to save her brother from an undeserved fate, giving the impression of a jailbreak-themed film.
Directed by Vasan Bala, the film is scheduled for release on October 11.
