Actor Amit Purohit passes away at young age
What's the story
Telugu actor Amit Purohit, who was last seen in 2018 hit movie Sammohanam, passed away on July 10 at a very young age.
The news of his sudden demise was confirmed by superstar Sudheer Babu on micro-blogging site Twitter yesterday evening. Subsequently, several celebrities took to Twitter to pay their condolences.
Meanwhile, the cause of Amit's death is still unknown.

Amit had also worked in Bollywood movies like 'Pankh'
Notably, Amit has worked in Bollywood movies like Aalaap, Pankh etc. He is also known for his performance in Raveena Tandon starrer Shobhna's Seven Nights, which was released in 2012. His significant work however remains Sammohanam, where he played the ex-boyfriend of Aditi Rao Hydari.

Another young, good actor left us too early, says Sudheer
Expressing his grief on Amit's untimely death, Sudheer penned an emotional tweet, remembering his friendly nature and dedication towards work.
Sudheer had shared the screen with him in Sammohanam.
"Saddened by the death news of Amit Purohit. Very friendly guy & always gave 100 % for every shot. Another young and good actor left us too early. May his soul find peace," Sudheer wrote.

Meanwhile, Aditi also offered her condolences on Twitter.
She also thanked the late actor for his "invaluable presence" in the movie.
Aditi wrote, "Rest in peace Amit Purohit, Prayers and healing to the family... a kind gentle hardworking person gone to soon. thank you for your invaluable presence in #sammohanam #GoneTooSoon (sic)."
Even the film's director Mohan Krishna Indraganti paid his tribute.

Apart from paying his respects, Indraganti also revealed that he was planning to sign Amit for one of his upcoming projects.
"Amit Purohith, one of the gentlest, well- behaved and hugely talented actors I've worked with. And such a generous man!!! Amit, I will miss you, man. I was thinking of casting you again soon. May you Rest In Peace, Brother," Indraganti wrote.
