Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor-starrer biopic based on the life of ace shooter Abhinav Bindra, which was announced in 2017, has now been shelved, reports say.

The filming of the movie has been put on hold for the time being and the actor has started working on a new project.

The movie was announced by Ek Thi Daayan director Kannan Iyer in 2017.

    Here's more on this.

    Details

Harsh Varrdhan now working on a project titled 'Thar'

It has been reported that Harsh Varrdhan has moved on to shooting for another project titled Thar, which is being directed by actor-turned-director Raj Singh Choudhary.

Along with him, his father and veteran actor, Anil Kapoor, will also star in the movie.

The Netflix project is currently being shot in Rajasthan and also stars Dangal fame actor Fatima Sana Shaikh in a lead role.

Many actors were considered to play Bindra

Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor had been roped in to play the role of Bindra, while his father and late actor, Rishi Kapoor, was chosen for the role of his father in the movie.

However, that plan eventually did not materialize.

Later, Varun Dhawan was reportedly approached for the role but he also decided to turn it down.

Harsh Varrdhan was last seen in Netflix's 'AK vs AK'

Apart from working together in Thar, the father-son duo was recently seen in the Netflix movie AK vs AK, released in December 2020. Harsh Varrdhan had a guest appearance in the movie, which saw Anil and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap playing fictionalized versions of themselves.

A brief about Harsh Varrdhan's career
