    Snapchat not for poor countries like India, Spain: Evan Spiegel

    What's the story

    An ex Snapchat employee revealed that Snapchat's CEO Evan Spiegel had once commented that the app was for 'rich people' and that he wasn't interested in expanding to 'poor countries' like Spain and India.

    The allegations sprung up from Anthony Pompliano's lawsuit against Snapchat.

    He served a brief 3-week stint at Snapchat after being hired from Facebook and subsequently fired.

    Facebook board member says India would've been better under Britishers

    Defending Facebook's Free Basics Service, a prominent Silicon Valley venture capitalist and Facebook Inc's board member Marc Andreessen remarked that Indian authorities were wrong to prevent Free Basics.

    However, he went on to suggest that the country "would be in better shape if the British were still in charge."

    He apologized for his comments later and was openly critiqued by Mark Zuckerberg.

    Indian tricolor as doormat, Amazon draws sharp rebuke from India

    Amazon rubbed India in the worst ways possible after it was revealed that its Canadian website was selling a doormat that resembled India's flag.

    External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj openly warned that if the doormat weren't removed, the visas of Amazon employees would be rescinded.

    The matter was also escalated to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and the product was removed within 24 hours.

    Somebody pop Uber's bubble: Indians locked on weekends before Uber

    While Uber has been fiercely trying to bring mobility revolution in India but recently, in an interview, general manager for Uber's Bangalore- Christian Freese said Indians were now going out on weekends because of Uber.

    He said: "Before Uber, "folks were rather locked up at home".

    His exaggerated impact on changing the way India travels backfired with an onslaught of backlash on Twitter.
