    The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the full budget of the fiscal year 2025-26.

    This will be the 14th consecutive budget under PM Modi's leadership since he assumed office in 2014.

    The upcoming budget will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha today, her eighth consecutive presentation.

    Sitharaman to outline government's fiscal policies

    Sitharaman's budget speech will give an idea of the government's fiscal policies for the coming year.

    The Finance Minister will outline revenue and expenditure proposals, taxation reforms, and other key announcements.

    This all-encompassing overview will give an insight into the financial strategies and initiatives that will define India's economic landscape in FY2025-26.

    Growth forecast

    Economic Survey projects robust growth for FY2025-26

    The Economic Survey, tabled in Parliament on Friday, predicts India's economy will grow between 6.3% and 6.8% in FY2025-26.

    The report emphasizes the nation's robust economic fundamentals, supported by a stable external account, continued fiscal consolidation, and healthy private consumption.

    These projections highlight the resilience of India's economy and set an optimistic tone for Sitharaman's upcoming budget presentation.
