    What's the story

South Korean automaker Hyundai is all set to launch the second-generation Grand i10 in India on August 20.

The upcoming hatchback will get a bunch of cosmetic and interior upgrades while retaining the mechanical specifications of its current model.

In India, the second-generation Grand i10 is expected to fall under Rs. 5-8 lakh price bracket (ex-showroom).

    Here is our roundup.

    Looks

Hyundai Grand i10: At a glance

The second-generation Grand i10 is said to get revamped design with a wider cascading grille, sharp-edged bumpers, and redesigned alloy wheels.

For lighting, it is likely to house projector headlamps along with the LED DRLs and LED indicators - just like previous models.

Moreover, the hatchback is expected to be more spacious than its current model.

    Interiors

    Inside the cabin

Inside, the second-generation model is likely to get a dual tone cabin with a fresh new dashboard and a multifunctional power-steering wheel.

It is expected to get a digital-analog instrument console and a new 8-inch infotainment panel with support for Bluetooth and navigation.

Moreover, the infotainment system will offer new-age connectivity features such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Hyundai's Blue Link technology.

    Engine

    Under the hood

The all-new Hyundai Grand i10 will be offered in BS6 compliant 1.2-liter petrol and diesel engine options.

The petrol unit which makes 83hp of power is likely to be mated with the 5-speed manual transmission as standard along with the optional AMT.

On the other hand, the diesel mill is likely to get the manual gearbox only.

    Information

    And, what about pricing?

In India, the second-generation Hyundai Grand i10 is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 5-8 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, the hatchback will lock horns with rivals such as Ford Figo, Maruti Suzuki Swift, and the recently launched Toyota Glanza.
