    What's the story

Giving a big push to the online sales of "swadeshi" FMCG products, Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurved has partnered with eight leading e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, ShopClues, Big Basket, Grofers, NetMeds, and 1mg.

Ramdev said through this partnership, Patanjali will reach from "Haridwar to Har Dwar (every doorstep)".

Patanjali has created an online ecosystem for settling 10-lakh orders every day.

    Here's more.

    Partnership

E-tailers would account for 15% of Patanjali's sales: Ramdev

Patanjali's partnership with the e-commerce players, in addition to its official online portal patanjaliayurved.net, would give a significant boost to its online sales.

Baba Ramdev said they created an online mechanism to provide a convenient and efficient option to customers apart from the retail market.

He expects that 15% of Patanjali's FMCG sales would come from its e-commerce partner platforms in the future.

Incidentally, Patanjali crossed Rs. 10cr sales mark in December

Baba Ramdev said, "Online sales crossed Rs. 10cr-mark during December itself, which is the highest online sales by any FMCG brand in a month." He added Patanjali aims to become the "No. 1 FMCG company" in India and 14 other countries in ten years.

    Patanjali Ayurved

Patanjali is one of India's largest FMCG players

Haridwar-based Patanjali Ayurved was founded by Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and his associate Acharya Balkrishna in 2006. It is the fastest-growing FMCG company in India.

Its products are already available on many online platforms through various sellers.

It offers several products across categories like herbal and ayurvedic, personal care, healthcare, food, etc.

The company's turnover for FY17 was more than Rs. 10,500 crore.

    "No plans to go public"

Meanwhile, Ramdev also confirmed Patanjali has no plans to go public, adding: "We will not list Patanjali in Mumbai, we will list Patanjali in people's hearts. You will see it as a non-profit organization in the future where each rupee will be used for India."
