Karnataka will soon get government-run meat shops
What's the story
According to reports, the Karnataka government will soon have independent units which will sell low-cost and hygienic lamb and mutton across the state.
Furthermore, the government will also enable the selling of meat online, where meat pieces will be cut, packed and delivered according to the customer's convenience.

Ideologies clash at Town Hall after Centre's new beef-ban rule
Activists belonging to both left-wing and right-wing organizations gathered outside the Town Hall on the evening of 29th May to express their opinion on the Centre's new rule banning sale of cattle for slaughter.
The left-wing organizations included a student union protesting against the new rule; a few right-wing organizations announced a 'Gau Puja' to protest against the left-wing organizations' protest.

Ground gives way at construction site, 4 houses collapse
4 houses collapsed and 20 others were severely decimated after the ground gave way allegedly due to the excavation work carried out at an adjacent construction site in Ramanna Garden, Sudhamangara.
A trench, 40 feet deep had been dug for the foundation of a multi-storeyed building.
The BBMP has ordered a stay on the construction and has promised financial assistance to the victims.
Exam Results
CLAT results delayed by 7 hours
Results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) were finally declared on 29th May at 9 pm, after being delayed for 7 hours.
The exam was held on 14th May, with over 50,000 students across the country registering to take the online exam.
The Common Law Admission Test is a gateway for students wanting to apply to 18 national law schools all over India.

BMTC will buy 100 new buses for Metro feeder service
With Bengaluru Metro's Phase 1 to be operational soon, the BMTC is all set to initiate a Metro feeder service linking all its metro stations.
For the same, the transport body will deploy 100 more 'Samparka' buses.
Phase 1 of Namma Metro is expected to function 15th June onwards.
Currently, there are 85 buses providing feeder services to Bengaluru's Metro stations.

Children return to schools without textbooks
On 29th May, Bengaluru's schools reopened for the new academic year after summer vacations, without textbooks for its students.
The textbooks for the new academic year, which were revised by the State Government are yet to be issued.
Teachers, especially those teaching students belonging to Class 10 were clueless as to what to teach and hence stuck to the basics.
