    What's the story

Hyundai has removed the entry-level E (diesel) model of the Creta SUV from its official website in India.

According to the reports, the E (diesel) trim has a waiting period of up to 12 months. This could have dissuaded customers from booking it and thus resulting in a low-demand for the base model.

    Here's our roundup.

    Exteriors

    Recalling the Hyundai Creta

The Hyundai Creta features a chrome-finished cascading grille, silver skid plates, a muscular bonnet, rear window washer as well as defogger, split LED taillamps and sleek LED DRLs.

On the sides, the SUV is flanked by roof rails, indicator-mounted ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Dimensions-wise, it has a wheelbase of 2,610mm and a boot space of 433-liters.

    Information

    Power and performance

The Creta comes with three BS6-compliant engine options: a 1.5-liter diesel motor that makes 113.4hp/250Nm, a 1.5-liter petrol mill that generates 113.42hp/144Nm, and a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol unit that delivers 138hp/242Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.

    Interiors

    Inside the cabin

The Hyundai Creta has a 5-seater cabin with a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, and a multifunctional steering wheel.

The SUV packs eight speakers and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

For safety, it offers six airbags, a rear-view camera, a tire pressure monitor, and an engine immobilizer.

    Information

    How much does it cost?

As for the pocket-pinch, the Hyundai Creta starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh for the Creta E (petrol) variant and goes up to Rs. 17.53 lakh for the top-spec SX (O) Turbo model (all prices, ex-showroom).
