    What's the story

Bajaj Auto has recently updated its entire Pulsar line-up to comply with the upcoming emission norms.

And now, before the official launch, select company dealerships have started the deliveries of the BS6-ready Pulsar 220F model.

The new motorcycle comes with an updated fuel-injected engine, and is approximately Rs. 9,000 costlier than its BS4 counterpart.

    Here are more details.

    Design

    BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 220F: At a glance

The Bajaj Pulsar 220F comes with a semi-faired sporty look featuring a dual-tone color scheme, split seats, and a beefy-looking front apron.

The motorcycle gets a sporty side profile with an up-swept exhaust, and a blacked-out engine and alloy wheels.

Furthermore, the motorcycle houses a digital-analog instrument console and is offered in three dual-tone color options.

    Information

    Power and performance

The new Pulsar 220F draws power from a BS6-compliant 220cc oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The motor is capable of producing 20.39PS of maximum power at 8,500rpm. However, the torque figures of the updated model are yet to be revealed.

    Safety

What about safety and suspension setup?

In the braking department, the BS6 Pulsar 220F comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with single-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking.

The sports tourer houses telescopic forks on the front and a 5-way adjustable dual-shock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.

    Information

And, how much will it cost?

As for the pocket-pinch, the BS6-compliant Bajaj Pulsar 220F carries a premium of approximately Rs. 9,000 over the BS4 model and is priced at Rs. 1.16 lakh. Lastly, it takes on the likes of KTM 200 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 160.
