    Bajaj has officially teased its much-awaited sports bike KTM 790 Duke in India, hinting at its imminent launch in the country.

    The 2019 model, which is already available in international markets, comes with a sports naked style and a 799cc DOHC engine.

    In India, KTM 790 Duke will compete with the likes of Ducati Monster 797 and Kawasaki Z900.

    2019 KTM 790 Duke: At a glance

    The KTM 790 Duke comes with a sports-naked body, sharp features, and an attractive paint job.

    It offers a digital instrument console, step-up split seats, LED headlamps, LED taillights, and LED signal turn lamps.

    With a dry weight of 169kg and fuel capacity of 14-liter, the bike runs on 17-inch tubeless wheels.

    Engine and mileage

    The KTM 790 Duke is powered by a 799cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin DOHC engine which is capable of making 105ps of maximum power and 87Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox with a two-way quick shifter.

    2019 KTM 790 Duke: Safety and control

    The KTM 290 Duke comes with chrome-molybdenum tubular frame chassis, 43mm WP upside-down fork in the front and a WP mono-shock absorber at the rear side.

    It packs a 300mm disc brake on the front wheel and a 240mm disc brake on the rear wheel along with dual channel ABS.

    Further, the bike gets different riding modes, traction control, and passenger footrest.

    While we do not have any official announcement regarding the cost of 2019 KTM 790 Duke in India, the bike is expected to be launched under a price range of Rs. 7.5-8 lakh (ex-showroom).
