    What's the story

As an addition to its product portfolio in India, Bajaj Auto will launch a new Pulsar 180 naked roadster motorcycle soon.

The bike will borrow some design cues from the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 models while packing a halogen headlamp and a semi-digital instrument console. It should be powered by a BS6-compliant 178.6cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine.

    Here's our roundup.

    Design

Bajaj Pulsar 180 roadster: At a glance

The Bajaj Pulsar 180 roadster will have a sporty look, featuring a tinted visor, a bikini fairing, an engine cowl, a muscular fuel tank, a split-style seat, and a pillion grab rail.

The motorcycle should also house a semi-digital instrument console and a halogen headlamp with twin DRLs. It is expected to ride on designer alloy wheels.

    Information

    Power and performance

The Bajaj Pulsar 180 roadster should draw power from a BS6-compliant 178.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 16.6hp and 14.52Nm of peak torque. The mill should be linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

    Safety

    Safety and suspension setup

To ensure the safety of the rider, the Bajaj Pulsar 180 roadster will be equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with single-channel ABS for improved handling on the roads.

Suspension duties on the two-wheeler should be taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and gas-charged springs on the rear end.

    Information

    What about the pricing?

Bajaj Auto is yet to officially announce the Pulsar 180 roadster. However, it will reportedly carry a price-tag of Rs. 1,05,216 (ex-showroom) and shall take on rivals like Honda Hornet 2.0, Suzuki Gixxer 155, and TVS Apache RTR 160.
