Sikh NGO is bringing Eid cheer to thousands of Syrian-refugees
What's the story
Khalsa Aid, a UK-based NGO which has been constantly working to improve lives of Syrian refugees, is now making their Eid cheerful.
The group is preparing special food for Ramzan for 5,000 refugees daily in Lebanon and Iraq.
On Eid, they also purchased new shoes for over 500 children in camps in Mosul.
For their heartwarming efforts, Khalsa Aid has received wide appreciation.

History
Since inception, Khalsa Aid has worked the world over
Since the organization was born in 1999, Khalsa Aid has aided those affected by disasters and conflicts globally.
It has helped victims of the Yemen Civil War, refugees from the Middle East, and Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar in Bangladesh, apart from providing relief to victims of earthquakes, floods and hurricanes in Nepal, Australia, and the Caribbean.
Its Langar Aid division provides emergency food-supplies in war-ravaged areas.

Don't we need more schools, hospitals than gurudwaras?: Founder
Khalsa Aid started working for Syrian refugees in January'17, it says on its website. It helps in various ways: by building water points in camps, establishing prayer and education facilities, providing medical assistance and other necessities.
"We get many calls requesting donations for gurudwaras. There's already minimum three in almost every Punjab village. Don't we need hospitals and schools instead?" Founder Ravinder Singh had once said.

Their efforts made Eid better for the helpless refugees
In their latest endeavor, the 'Ramzan Kitchen,' Khalsa Aid has received assistance from the Sawa for Development and Aid, a local Lebanese charity.
The group posted a photo of a child holding new shoes and clothes, writing on Facebook: "These clothes will be the only gifts many of these children will receive this Eid while suffering difficult conditions of a refugee camp."
