    Details

    Details of the freak accident

The incident happened at the Mile High Spirits bar, distillery, and live music venue in Denver, USA.

The off-duty agent was having the time of his life and had (almost) immaculately executed a back handspring when his firearm flew out of its holster and landed on the dance floor.

The firearm went off as the agent attempted to pick it up.

    Investigations

What we know about the ongoing investigations

The Denver police are currently investigating the incident.

However, there are several facts which are unclear.

Firstly, the agent was not identified as he was not arrested.

Secondly, it's unclear whether the agent was drunk when the firearm went off.

FBI Denver said that the matter, which is of personal nature to the FBI, would be investigated by the police, and not by the agency.
