    What's the story

Oliver Morley has been working with animal welfare charities since 2012. He reveals how he saved three lions in 2012.

Morley smuggled two lion cubs on his plane from Romania to Bucharest, where he bribed a security guard to keep lions a secret, before taking them to Guernsey. From there, he took them to Gatwick and flew to Paris to save the third one.

    What happened?

The story of how the third cub was saved

The third lion, Brutus, was found crammed into a small cage, hardly big enough for breathing. With Brutus in tow, he took all of the lions to a reserve in South Africa. They were put in a Shamwari reserve at Morley's expense. They were monitored and protected from poachers and other dangers.

Since the rescue mission, Morley has opened a tiger sanctuary in Nepal.

The aim behind the sanctuary in Nepal is to protect the future of tigers. Apart from this sanctuary, he has been saving primates and big cats for over 12 years and works on defending whales and dolphins, donating over £1 million along the way.

    Morley speaks

It was heartbreaking to see lions like that: Morley

Morley is due to appear in Supreme Court tomorrow as he continues his battle with the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Oliver Morley, reminiscing about the rescue mission, said, "It was a shame to see lions in such an environment. Looking back, we made some questionable decisions, but I would absolutely make them again. I couldn't bear to stand and watch it go on."
