    What's the story

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has released drone footage of an airstrike that resulted in the death of Muhammad Hussein Srour, a senior Hezbollah commander.

The video shows multiple explosions striking a residential building in Beirut's Southern Suburb.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed his personal authorization of the strike, stating, "During the flight, I authorized a strike, and 'other things,' on the head of Hezbollah's UAV unit, and he was killed."

According to the IDF, Srour planned and directed multiple airborne terrorist strikes against Israeli citizens.

"During the "Iron Swords" war, he executed several terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers using UAVs and explosive devices," it said.

Srour, also known as 'Hajj Abu Saleh,' was born in 1973 in Aita al-Shaab, southern Lebanon.

He joined Hezbollah in 1996 and rose through the ranks to lead the organization's aerial command.

In recent years, Srour led the UAV manufacturing project in southern Lebanon and created UAV manufacturing and information collecting locations in Lebanon, which are placed near civilian infrastructure in Beirut and southern Lebanon.

He was also the commander in the surface-to-air missile unit, Aziz" Unit of the Radwan Force and Hezbollah's emissary to Yemen and the Houthi terrorist regime's Aerial Command.
