Responding to SA's first innings score of 588/6d in the 2005 St John's Test, WI finished at 747/10 thanks to a breathtaking triple-century from Chris Gayle.
The southpaw recorded a 331-run stand with Ramnaresh Sarwan (127) for the second wicket.
Gayle ended up scoring 317 off 483 balls with the help of 37 fours and three maximums. The game resulted in a draw.

Wavell Hinds - 213
The 2005 Georgetown Test saw Wavell Hinds smoke a fine 213 in the first innings.
The opener batted with great intent as he hammered 34 fours and 2 sixes during his 297-ball stay.
Hinds dominated a 284-run stand with fellow double-centurion Shivnarine Chanderpaul (203*) as WI declared at 543/5.
The game eventually resulted in a draw.

Hashim Amla - 208
Hashim Amla is the only South African batter with a double-hundred against WI.
He led the Proteas in the 2014 Centurion game and scored a brilliant 208 off 371 balls in the first innings (22 fours).
The SA captain was involved in a 308-run stand with AB de Villiers. The hosts declared at 552/5 and later won by an innings and 220 runs.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul - 203*
As mentioned, Chanderpaul also got a double-hundred in the 2005 Georgetown Test.
He arrived to bat at number five with the scorecard reading 106/3.
It was one-way traffic thereafter as Chanderpaul, who captained WI in that game, and Hinds registered a triple-century partnership.
Chanderpaul returned unbeaten on 203* off 370 balls. He slammed 23 boundaries.
