    What's the story

Top European nations would fight for glory when they participate in the 16th edition of the UEFA European Championship (Euro 2020), slated to be held from June 12, 2020.

The draw for the 12-team tournament was made in Bucharest on Saturday.

Interestingly, defending champions Portugal have been drawn into the group of death alongside Germany and France.

    Here is more.

    Threat

France and Germany wary of the threat

Following their draw into the group of death, the coaches of France and Germany acknowledged the threat and said that they needed to be ready right away.

"It is the hardest group, but we must accept it. It means we will have to be ready right away," said Didier Deschamps, France coach.

Meanwhile, Germany coach Joachim Low rated France as the strong favorites.

    Information

Portugal drawn alongside world champions France and Germany

Like every edition, we do have a group of death, Group F. The group consists of title holders Portugal, along with the reigning FIFA World Cup champions France and former world champions Germany. The other team in the group will decided by the play-offs.

    Group D

England too drawn in tough group

As for the other tough groups, England have been drawn in Group D, alongside Croatia and Czech Republic.

Talking about the fourth team of the group, England could be joined by Scotland, Norway or Finland.

However, Serbia look the favorites, for now, to take the spot.

Notably, England were semi-finalists of 2018 World Cup.
