    What's the story

South African spinner, Imran Tahir was subjected to racial abuse during South Africa's victory in the 4th ODI against India at the Wanderers stadium in Johannesburg.

Cricket South Africa confirmed that a man had racially abused the bowler and he was evicted from the stadium after Tahir told the security officials about him.

    Here's more about this incident.

CSA confirms Tahir was racially taunted

"Imran Tahir was verbally and racially abused by an unknown man during the fourth ODI...Tahir reported the incident to the stadium security and was subsequently accompanied by two security personnel to identify and to have the man ejected from the stadium" Cricket South Africa said.

    No physical altercation

    CSA would investigate the issue

Despite being subjected to racial abuse and a video of a scuffle being circulated around, Cricket South Africa made it very clear that Tahir made no physical contact with the offender or any children in the vicinity.

Cricket South Africa also said it is further investigating the incident with the security officials.

    What the ICC law states

In accordance with the ICC Anti-racism code, spectators who engage in racist conduct should be ejected from the stadium and can face further sanctions and criminal prosecution.

    Physical assault?

Tahir reportedly racially abused by Indian fan

According to South Africa's team-manager, Tahir was abused throughout the match by a person, who the leg-spinner claimed to be an Indian fan.

Tahir did not play in the rain-hit one-day game and was abused each time he left for the field on drinks duties.

A voice in the video can be heard saying 'you play for your country and you are hitting him'.

    Not the first time

    Tahir has been repeatedly victimized

This is not the first time the Pakistani born South African leg-spinner has been a subject to racial taunts.

In 2014, Australian supporters at the Manuka Oval in Canberra hurled racial abuses at Tahir.

A year later at the 2015 World Cup, a fan reportedly asked the cricketer "Why don't you go stroke your pet camel?"
