    What's the story

Pokemon Go has an upcoming event in November to celebrate the bug-type Pokemon, that were some of the first to appear in the game.

To this extent, the studio Niantic announced that it would make Shedinja available to gamers.

The incredibly rare Pokemon will have to be obtained through field research challenges as per the game's official Twitter account.

    Read all about it here.

    Shedinja

All about the new Pokemon Shedinja

Shedinja is a third generation bug/ghost-type Pokemon that evolves from Ninjask, which, in turn, evolves from Nincada.

When Nincada evolves to Ninjask, the exoskeleton it sheds, becomes Shedinja, hence the name.

Despite its rarity, Shedinja like most bug-type Pokemon remains rather weak, so has to be used carefully in battle.

Nonetheless, the ghost-type attribute makes it immune to quite a few attacks.

    Capturing

    How to acquire a Shedinja?

Once the event starts in November, Pokemon Go players will have to complete a series of Field Research Tasks.

Collecting stamps from these tasks will let them capture a Shedinja directly by earning a Research Breakthrough.

Notably, gamers have already praised this method as more efficient than the main Pokemon games, where Shedinja's capture would depend on trainers having empty slots in their party.
