    What's the story

In a thrilling match against Stuttgart on Tuesday, Real Madrid's rising star Endrick etched his name into the club's history books.

The young prodigy became the youngest ever scorer for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, surpassing a record previously held by club legend Raul since 1995.

This remarkable achievement was part of Real Madrid's triumphant 3-1 victory over Stuttgart in matchweek 1 of the revamped Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu.

    Record

    Endrick's record-breaking spree continues

As per Opta, at 18 years and 58 days, Endrick became the youngest player to score for Real Madrid in the history of the Champions League, surpassing Raul's previous record against Ferencvarosi TC in 1995 (hat-trick at the age of 18 years and 113 days).

Earlier this season, Endricks became the youngest player to score on his La Liga debut for Real Madrid in the 21st century.

    Information

    Endrick's career in numbers

Endricks made his 5th appearance for Real in all competitions this season, scoring his 2nd goal. Before this, the teenager made 82 appearances for Brazilian club Palmeiras, scoring 21 goals. He has played 11 games for Brazil (3 goals).

    Praise

    Ancelotti praises Endricks

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said Endrick showed "courage" after he scored his goal from distance in the 95th minute.

"He has balls!" Ancelotti told Movistar, before expanding his answer in his post-match news conference.

"Endrick had courage. It was the last move of the game. He was convinced he'd score. He went for the most difficult solution, but it went well," said the Italian.

Endricks had both Vincius Junior and Kylian Mbappe as options to pass but he shot.

    Mbappe

Mbappe races to 49 Champions League goals

Mbappe has become the 15th player to score on his debut for Real Madrid in the Champions League and the second Frenchman to do so after Christian Karembeu against Bayer Leverkusen in 1998.

Mbappe has raced to 49 Champions League career goals. Before this, he managed 42 goals for Paris Saint-Germain and six for AS Monaco.

He owns 5 goals for Real in 7 appearances across all competitions this season for Los Blancos.

    Match

    Real beat Stuttgart 3-1

Mbappe opened the scoring within just 20 seconds into the second half. Aurelien Tchouameni's pass found the run of Brazilian winger Rodrygo on the right and he unselfishly squared the ball for Mbappe to tap in.

Deniz Undav made it 1-1 with a header in the 68th minute. Real Madrid needed an 83rd-minute header from Antonio Rudiger to retake the lead.

It was Endrick who scored the final goal for the defending champions.

    Do you know?

    Modric makes history

Luka Modric assisted Rudiger for the lead. At 39 years and eight days, the Croatian is the third-oldest player to assist a goal in Champions League history, after Ryan Giggs (39y, 363d) and Amedeo Carboni (39y, 176d).
