    Asia Cup 2018: Pakistan fans vent fury at Rashid Khan

    What's the story

    Afghanistan's 20-year-old spinner Rashid Khan was subjected to wrath by Pakistan fans during the Super Four battle of the 2018 Asia Cup.

    Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 3 wickets in a tense match that saw the momentum shifting constantly.

    Rashid excelled with figures of 3/46 and almost helped his side to pull off a third straight win.

    Rashid's send-offs didn't go well with the fans

    Rashid has been in commanding form in the tournament. Till now, he has picked up 7 wickets in 3 games.

    The player accounted for the dismissal of Babar Azam as well as claimed the scalps of duo Nawaz and Asif Ali.

    What angered the fans was his send-off to these players.

    Fans criticized him for his antics and some had stern messages for him.

    Did arrogance cost the Afghans?

    Pakistan seal nervy encounter

    Pakistan got back to winning ways with Imam-ul-Haq scoring an impressive 80.

    He was supported well by Babar Azam (66).

    The duo gave Pakistan team the foundation before Shoaib Malik turned out to be the hero.

    Pakistan lost a flurry of wickets in the middle and the asking rate climbed up above 10.

    Malik hit an unbeaten half-century to help Pakistan win.
