James Anderson - England (44 wickets)
James Anderson owns the most scalps by a visiting pacer in India. As per ESPNcricinfo, Anderson owns 44 wickets in 17 matches (29 innings) at 30.27. His best bowling performance (innings) is 4/40 which he managed during the first innings of the third Test in Mumbai in 2006. Anderson finished with 704 Test wickets. He claimed 149 scalps versus India.
Courtney Walsh - West Indies (43 wickets)
Former West Indies pacer Courtney Walsh claimed 43 Test wickets in India. He recorded these figures in seven matches (13 innings) with an average of 18.55. He owns three five-wicket hauls. His best performance in a match reads 9/94. His best bowling performance (innings) is 6/79. Walsh picked up these wickets during the first innings of the first Test in Mumbai in 1994.
Wes Hall - West Indies (38 wickets)
Wes Hall played eight Tests in India and picked up 38 wickets in 16 innings, at an average of 20.94. Hall owns two five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket haul. He recorded both, his best bowling figures (innings) of 6/50 during the first innings, and best bowling performance in a match (11/126) during the second Test in Kanpur in 1958.
John Lever - England (37 wickets)
England's John Lever recorded 37 wickets in eight matches (14 innings), at an average of 19.75. Lever owns three five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket haul. He recorded figures of 7/46, his best bowling performance (innings) during the second innings of the first Test in Delhi in 1976.
