    The Delhi Capitals picked up their second win in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) after beating hosts Lucknow Super Giants in Match 26 in Lucknow.

    LSG managed 167/7 in 20 overs. They were earlier reduced to 94/7. Ayush Badoni hammered a fine half-century as Kuldeep Yadav took a three-fer for DC.

    In response, the Capitals got the job done (170/4).

    LSG lost two wickets inside the powerplay and finished on 57/2. However, Kuldeep came in and got three wickets. LSG struggled their way to 94/7 and things looked bleak.

    Quinton de Kock completed 9,500 runs in the 20-over format. He reached the milestone with his sixth run.

    De Kock (19) owns 9,513 runs in 332 T20 games. David Miller (10,143) and Faf du Plessis (9,857) are the only South African batters with more T20 runs than de Kock.

    As per ESPNcricinfo, he averages 32.13 in the format while his strike rate is 137.88.

    Kuldeep Yadav dismisses Nicholas Pooran for fifth time in T20s

    Kuldeep returned with a bang for DC and he sent Nicholas Pooran packing for a golden duck.

    Across nine T20 innings, Pooran has been dismissed by Kuldeep five times. The southpaw has amassed 52 runs from 57 balls at 10.40 (SR: 91.22).

    In the IPL, Kuldeep got Pooran's wicket for the first time in three innings. Kuldeep has conceded 13 runs from 15 balls.

    180 T20 wickets for Kuldeep

    In 76 IPL matches, Kuldeep has raced to 77 wickets at an average of 27.23. The former KKR bowler owns an economy rate of 8.06.

    For the Capitals, Kuldeep owns 37 wickets from 31 games at an impressive 23.27 (ER: 7.78).

    Overall in T20 cricket, Kuldeep has managed 180 wickets from 148 matches at 21.33.

    Duo

    A record eighth-wicket stand for Badoni and Arshad

    Badoni and Arshad's 73*-run stand is the best in IPL history for the 8th wicket. The duo broke the previous best tally of 69 runs between James Faulkner and Brad Hodge for the Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians in 2014.

    Overall, this is the eighth instance of 50-plus stands for the 8th wicket in the cash-rich league.

    As per Cricbuzz, Badoni is involved in each of the top 8 highest partnerships for LSG for 6th wicket or below.

    Notably, he has been involved in four fifty-plus stands for 6th wicket or below for LSG. Two of his highest stands have come alongside Nicholas Pooran.

    Meanwhile, batting at number 7, Badoni owns 204 runs from 7 innings at 51 (SR: 152.33).

    3,000 IPL runs for Pant

    Pant scored asuperb 41-run knock from 24 balls. He was involved in a 77-run stand alongside Fraser-McGurk.

    Pant scripted history as he became the first batter to complete 3,000 IPL runs for Delhi Capitals.

    Playing his 104th IPL game, the DC batter racked up 3,032, averaging 34.45. The wicket-keeper dasher has hammered 16 fifties and a solitary ton in the competition (SR: 148.55).

    Jake Fraser-McGurk smashes fifty on debut

    Fraser-McGurk smashed a six of just the second ball he faced on his IPL debut. The 22-year-old Australian cricketer finished with a score of 55 from 35 balls. He hit two fours and five sixes (SR: 157.14).

    As per Cricbuzz, Fraser-McGurk now owns the second-highest score while batting at No. 3 on debut IPL innings.

    Michael Hussey's 116* for CSK) against PBKS in Mohali (2008) remains the best.

    He also posted the second-highest score for DC on IPL debut. Gautam Gambhir's 58* against RR in IPL 2008 remains at the top.

    Brace for spinner Ravi Bishnoi

    LSG spinner Ravi Bishnoi claimed 2/25 in DC's score of 170/4. In 114 T20 matches, the leg-spinner has raced to 138 scalps at 22.36. In the IPL, Bishnoi owns 57 scalps at 27.75.
