    What's the story

Since 2010s, Spanish clubs have taken the European football by storm.

The two giants of Spain, Real Madrid and Barcelona have won four and two Champions League titles, respectively in the past ten editions.

Further, Barcelona have even dominated the domestic circuit.

Being one of the greatest football clubs of all time, we look at some of the unique records scripted by Barcelona.

    Record attendance

Record 1,20,000 crowd witness Barca defeating Juventus

A capacity crowd at home always gives the best feeling to the home team.

The record for Barca's highest attendance at Camp Nou is 1,20,000.

It took place in March 1986, when they took on Italy's Juventus in the home leg of the European Cup quarter-final.

The crowd went home happy as Barca edged past Juventus 1-0, courtesy Julio Alberto's 81st-minute strike.

    Top goal-scorer

Lionel Messi: The goal-scoring God of Barcelona

When it comes to Barca's goal-scoring machine, the one and only name that comes to the mind is the Little Magician, Lionel Messi.

Messi currently has scored 603 goals for the club to date and looks well on course to increase the tally to 650 in the upcoming seasons.

No other current player is even close to breaking his record.

    All hail Messi!

    Caps

    Xavi: The most reliable man

Besides scoring goals, another important element of the game is to play regularly and in a consistent fashion.

The record for the most number of appearances for the club stands with mid-fielder Xavi, who played 767 games across competitions.

Having played for 17 seasons at the club, he is one of Barca's all-time greats, while Messi (687) might possibly go past his record.

    Greatest manager

    Pep Guardiola: Barca's guardian angel

There is always that one manager who changes the entire complexion of the club and becomes their all-time favorite.

For Barca, it is undoubtedly Pep Guardiola, who enjoyed immense success and took the Catalan giants to another level.

He won 14 titles with the club, including five La Liga trophies, two UCL honors. By winning a treble, Guardiola cemented his legacy as the GOAT.

    Other records

A look at some other Barcelona records

Biggest win: 18-0 vs Tarragona (Copa Macaya, 1971)

Youngest player: Paulino Alcántara (15 years, four months and 18 days)

Most points earned in a season: 100 points in 38 matches (2012-13 La Liga)

Longest La Liga unbeaten run: 39 games (2015-16)

Highest transfer fees received: €222 million (Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain)
