The pace was very strong, says Norris

Norris said McLaren's pace was strong and the car delivered.

"It feels amazing. I wouldn't say a perfect race because of lap one again but afterwards it was beautiful. The pace was very strong, the car was unbelievably today," he said.

"I could get comfortable, I could push and get past Max which was the main thing, and just go from there."

    Race

    A solid race for Norris

Norris was passed almost immediately when he had too much wheel spin off the line.

However, McLaren's pace meant he re-passed Verstappen on lap 18 before the pit stops. From thereon, it was a solid effort.

Verstappen complained about a lack of grip from very early on in the race.

Meanwhile, Leclerc fended off Piastri for the final 27 laps.
