Former Indian women's team captain, Jhulan Goswami went past Australia's Cathryn Fitzpatrick to become the world's leading wicket taker in the women's ODIs.
Jhulan has picked up 181 wickets in 153 matches, with the best bowling figures of 6/31. She has an average of 21.76.
With 271 wickets in ODIs, tests and T20 internationals, she is India's leading wicket-taker in women's cricket as well.
Early career
Who is Jhulan Goswami?
Jhulan Goswami is an Indian right-arm medium fast bowler, who is part of the women's cricket team.
She was groomed as a fast bowler at the MRF Pace Academy and in her initial days she was trained by the Australian legend Dennis Lillee.
Since her debut in 2002, Jhulan has been the backbone of the Indian pace attack.

International career
Jhulan Goswami was the key architect of India's first test series win in England. In the second test, she took 10 wickets for 78 runs, picking up five wickets in each innings.
Her height gives her the ability to bowl regularly at 120 kph.
At the 2005 Women's World Cup, she was the third highest wicket-taker of the tournament.
Awards
National and international recognitions
In 2007, Jhulan Goswami received the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year award, and still remains the only Indian female cricketer to win the prestigious award.
She was honoured with the Arjuna Award by the Indian Government in the year 2010, followed by Padma Shri in the year 2012.
Jhulan was named as the Indian Women Cricketer of the year in 2011 by BCCI.
