IPL 2022 Auction: Rayudu goes back to CSK
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction on Saturday saw veteran Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu be bought by Chennai Super Kings. CSK spent Rs. 6.75 crore for the services of Rayudu. The senior cricketer had a decent IPL 2021 campaign, helping CSK win the title. Rayudu will aim to show his pedigree for CSK once again. He has been an established figure.

A look at Rayudu's IPL journey
Rayudu made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in the 2010 season. He won the title with them in 2013, 2015, and 2017. The middle-order batter was signed by Chennai Super Kings in 2018. He helped the Yellow Army win the title that year. He paired up with Shane Watson at the top. Rayudu was also a part of CSK's title-winning campaign in 2021.

Rayudu was CSK's highest run-scorer in the 2018 season. He racked up 602 runs from 16 matches at an average of 43.00. He had a strike rate of 149.75 and smashed 34 sixes. Rayudu slammed his only IPL century in that season. Rayudu, who will play his fifth season with CSK, has registered 1,500 runs for them at 34.09.
