The Delhi Capitals (DC) have announced Axar Patel as the captain of the team for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
The all-rounder played a key role in India's recent Champions Trophy triumph and had captained DC during IPL 2024 when Rishabh Pant was unavailable for a match due to an over-rate offense.

The all-rounder has 10 wins under his belt as a leader. As mentioned, he has led just once in the IPL.

Rahul's captaincy has played a key role in taking Lucknow Super Giants to the playoffs in 2022 and 2023.
He also has an excellent batting record, scoring over 500 runs in every full season since 2018. He clocked 520 runs in IPL 2024.
