    What's the story

    Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha smoked record-breaking tons versus South Africa in a crucial ODI tri-series contest on Wednesday (February 12, 2025) at National Stadium, Karachi.

    The two joined hands when Pakistan were 91/3. They stitched a 260-run stand thereafter, etching their name in history books as Pakistan scaled down a target of 353 runs.

    Target 353 - PAK vs SA (Karachi, 2025)

    South Africa managed 352/5 in 50 overs. Temba Bavuma (82), Matthew Breetzke (83) and Heinrich Klaasen (87) shone for the visitors with clutch knocks.

    In response, Rizwan and Salman's highest 4th-wicket partnership for Pakistan helped the side get to the target with an over to spare (355/4).

    Rizwan smashed an unbeaten 122 from 128 balls. Salman smashed 134 runs from 103 balls.

    Target 349 - PAK vs AUS (Lahore, 2022)

    The 2nd ODI of the bilateral series between Pakistan. and Australia in 2022 saw the visitors post 348/8 in 50 overs at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

    Travis Head smashed 89 upfront with Ben McDermott smoking 104. Marnus Labuschagne hit 59.

    In response, Pakistan's top three batters dished out a famous chase.

    Fakhar Zaman (67), Imam-ul-Haq (106) and Babar Azam (114) helped Pakistan score 349/4.

    Target 345 - Pakistan vs Sri Lanka (Hyderabad, 2023)

    Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in match number eight of the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

    They defied all odds to chase 345 (highest successful run-chase in World Cup history).

    Abdullah Shafique slammed 113, while Rizwan got Pakistan home with a ton (131*).

    Earlier, Sri Lanka posted 344/9 with Kusal Mendis (122) and Sadeera Samarawickrama (108) slamming centuries.

    Target 337 - PAK vs NZ (Rawalpindi, 2023)

    Pakistan (337/3) got past New Zealand's score of 336/5 to record their then second-highest successful chase in ODIs.

    The victory in Rawalpindi helped Pakistan take a 2-0 lead in the five-match bilateral series.

    New Zealand rode on Daryl Mitchell's ton to smash a solid 336/5 in 50 overs. Haris Rauf claimed a four-fer.

    In response, Fakhar's record-breaking 180* helped Pakistan win comfortably.
