    What's the story

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has opened up regarding his relationship with former Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte.

It is common knowledge that Costa had to take a transfer back to Atletico Madrid after he fell out with Conte during his stint with Chelsea.

    Details follow.

    Incidents

Conte texted Costa to let him know he was fired

After their tussle, Conte had texted Costa saying his services were no longer required.

Chelsea winger Willian had reported the incident during an interview with ESPN. He had also blamed Conte for the way he treated Content.

Willian, himself, had also found it difficult to work under Conte.

"You don't lose a player like Diego Costa. It was a difficult situation," he said.

    Treatment

Costa is happy at Atletico Madrid

Costa feels, at Atletico, things are dealt in a better way than they are at Chelsea.

About Simeone, he said, "(he) is a direct coach, and when he doesn't love you, it's clear and he shows it."

Costa said that at Chelsea it was the opposite, as he was made to train with the reserves when he finally rejoined the squad after Conte's text.

    Situation

Costa has fitted in perfectly at Atletico Madrid

Costa compared his position with Conte, who does not have a job this term.

He has netted in nine times in 24 appearances since he re-joined Diego's side.

"Here I have everything, a very big club in a big city and people are more similar to Brazil. Cholo is the boss and I was excited. I was happy to return", said Costa.
