Rahane to captain India in Kohli's absence, IPL performers rewarded
The BCCI has named the squads for the Test against Afghanistan and limited-over series against Ireland and England. Since Kohli will be playing county cricket, Ajinkya Rahane has been named the captain for the one-off Test against Afghanistan. To fill Kohli's shoes, Karun Nair makes a comeback to the Test squad. Ambati Rayudu and Siddarth Kaul have been rewarded post their performances in IPL.

Siddarth Kaul and Ambati Rayudu named in the limited-over squad
Some of IPL's top performers have been rewarded for their fine form. Siddarth Kaul, who has been impressive for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, will make his T20I debut during Ireland and England series. The current Orange Cap holder, Ambati Rayudu, has been rewarded with a call-up for the three-match ODI series against England. Daredevils skipper Shreyas Iyer has also been included in the ODI squad.
