    What's the story

    Virat Kohli, the legendary Indian cricketer, reached yet another milestone in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on March 22.

    He scored a brilliant 59 runs off just 36 balls for his team Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

    The performance not only took RCB to victory in their season opener at Eden Gardens but also made Kohli the first player to score over 1,000 runs against four different teams in IPL.

    Virat Kohli - 4 

    With his 59* in the IPL 2025 opener, Kohli has now raced to 1,021 runs versus KKR at 40.84, as per ESPNcricinfo (100s: 1, 50s: 7).

    Against Punjab Kings, the star batter has managed 1,030 runs at 35.51. He has five fifties and a ton.

    Meanwhile, the former RCB skipper has 1,057 runs against Delhi Capitals at 50.33 (50s: 10).

    He owns 1,053 runs versus CSK at 37.60. Kohli has slammed nine fifties.

    Rohit Sharma - 2 

    Mumbai Indians talisman Rohit Sharma is the only other Indian player on this list.

    The star opener has scored 1,034 IPL runs at an average of 32.31 against the Capitals. His tally includes six half-centuries.

    Rohit also loves batting against KKR. He has amassed 1,070 runs against them at an average of 39.62. The tally includes six fifties and a ton.

    David Warner - 2 

    One of the most consistent players in IPL history, David Warner also features on this elite list.

    Warner is the highest run-scorer against KKR in the IPL. The Australian owns 1,093 runs at an average of 43.72 against the Knight Riders. His tally includes two tons and six half-centuries.

    He has compiled 1,134 runs against Punjab Kings at an average of 49.30 (50s: 13). This is the highest tally for a batter against a team in IPL history.
