    What's the story

Team India will be taking on Australia in the second ODI at the Adelaide Oval on January 15.

It is a must-win tie for Virat Kohli's side, who lost the first match by 34 runs on Saturday in Sydney.

India will be hoping to fight back and level the series.

There is a lot at stake for both the sides.

    Here's the match preview.

    Requirement

India have to be more clinical in the final phase

India will need to be more clinical in the final phase of the match, both with their bowling and batting.

The visitors conceded 93 runs in the last 60 deliveries at the SCG.

This helped Aussies to gain the momentum.

The lower middle-order in batting is a matter of concern for Kohli.

Whoever comes in, he will need to justify with a match-winning knock.

    India batting

India's batsmen need to come good

India were stunned at the SCG after being rocked at 4/3.

Virat Kohli had a rare ODI failure. A lot depends on the Indian skipper especially in ties where India are chasing.

Ambati Rayudu will be required to score runs at the crucial number four position.

One can expect Kedar Jadhav, if fit, returning to the starting XI ahead of Dinesh Karthik.

    Australia

Clinical Australia ticked all the right boxes

Australia ticked all the right boxes in Sydney.

Their middle-order batsmen got some much needed runs.

This eased the situation for the finishers, who came in and wrecked havoc in the final phase.

With the ball, the Aussies were clinical for almost the whole match.

The young pacers Jason Behrendorff and Jhye Richardson were terrific.

Aussies have the momentum, going into second ODI.

    AUSvIND

Aussies will be hoping for a series win

Australia will be keen to replicate their performance and continue in the same vein.

This was Australia's third win in the last 14 ODI matches.

India will be coming hard at the hosts and Aussie skipper Aaron Finch has to get his side believing that they can clinch a rare ODI series.

Australia have the firepower to trouble India.

    Key players

Australia vs India, second ODI: Key players in focus

Rohit Sharma was terrific for India in the first ODI.

His special knock of 133 was a shining aspect of India's batting.

MS Dhoni scored a gritty 51 and built the innings.

He was once again surrounded by criticism from some quarters.

For Australia, Richardson and Shaun Marsh hold the key.

Richardson will be aiming to have an impact with the new ball.

    Information

When and where to watch the second ODI?

The second ODI will start on Tuesday at 8:50 AM IST. The match will be telecast live on the Sony Ten Network in both English and Hindi commentary. The match can also be streamed live on the Sony Liv app as well.
