    IPL 2018 Auction: Complete list of players sold till now

    What's the story

    The 2018 IPL auction has lived up to its expectations.

    England all-rounder Ben Stokes remains the highest bid of the day with Rajasthan Royals breaking the bank, spending a whopping Rs 12.5 cr for the service of the Englishman. Surprisingly, Joe Root and Chris Gayle remained unsold.

    Here is the list of players bought by the franchises, so far.

    Good old CSK

    Chennai Super Kings retain their core

    Chennai Super Kings opted to use 'RTM' cards for Faf Du Plessis and Dwayne Bravo costing them Rs. 1.6 cr and Rs. 6.4 cr respectively.

    With Ravichandran Ashwin gone, CSK bought veteran Harbhajan Singh for Rs. 2 cr.

    Australian all-rounder, Shane Watson was bought for Rs. 4 cr and CSK splashed the cash for Kedar Jadhav, buying him for a whopping Rs. 7.8 cr.

    Chennai Super Kings- Rs. 25.2 crore, Delhi Daredevils- Rs. 31.8 crore, Kings XI Punjab- Rs. 25.9 crore, Kolkata Knight Riders- Rs. 40 crore, Mumbai Indians- Rs. 41.6 crore, Rajasthan Royals- Rs. 50.5 crore, Royal Challengers Bangalore- Rs. 34.1 crore and Sunrisers Hyderabad- Rs. 33.9 crore

    On fire

    Kings XI Punjab were on fire

    Kings XI kept everyone on their toes. Ashwin was the first-one bought by them for Rs. 7.6 cr. They bid big for duo Rahul and Nair at Rs. 11 cr and 5.6 cr respectively.

    Additionally, they used 'RTM' cards to retain Miller and Stoinis.

    Punjab also bought Australian batsman, Finch at Rs. 6.2 cr and Yuvraj, at his base price of Rs. 2 cr.

    Big bucks

    Sunrisers Hyderabad spend big bucks for Manish Pandey

    The Sunrisers Hyderabad have been active at the auctions, forking out big bucks for Manish Pandey who cost them Rs 11 cr.

    RTM card was used for Shikhar Dhawan costing them Rs 5.2 cr.

    Shakib Al Hassan was bought for Rs. 2 cr and Kane Williamson for Rs. 3 cr.

    Yusuf Pathan was their final buy, in the first 4-rounds, at Rs 1.9 cr.

    Silent spectators

    Mumbai Indians and Kolkata have remained quiet till now

    Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders have been silent spectators, so far letting the other franchises do the heavy bidding.

    KKR opted top buy two Aussie stars, pacer Mitchell Starc and power-hitter Chris Lynn Rs. 9.4 and 9.6 cr respectively.

    Mumbai Indians used the RTM card for Kieron Pollard, who was bought at Rs. 5.4 cr.

    Quality signings

    Gauti reunites with Delhi Daredevils

    After a poor 2017, Delhi Daredevils are itching to get back and have made some quality signings with the likes of Glenn Maxwell and Gautam Gambhir.

    Gambhir was bought at Rs. 2.8 cr and Maxwell cost Delhi Rs. 9 cr.

    Jason Roy was a steal deal for the Daredevils at Rs. 1.5 cr.

    DD also bought world's number one T20 batsman, Colin Munro.

    Smart buying

    RCB buy big-hitters McCullum and Woakes

    RCB have been smart with their signings.

    Big-hitter McCullum cost Rs. 3.6 cr, while all-rounder trio of Woakes, Moeen Ali & Grandhomme cost them Rs 7.4 cr, 1.7 cr and 2.2 cr respectively.

    Rajasthan Royals splashed the cash for Stokes spending Rs. 12.5 cr and used 'RTM card' for Rahane costing them Rs. 4 cr.

    Stuart Binny was the cheapest buy at Rs. 50lakh.
