    What's the story

    Olympique Lyonnais came from behind to register a 2-1 victory over Besiktas in Europa League quarterfinals.

    After the kick-off was delayed by 45-minutes due to crowd trouble, Ryan Babel scored in the 15th minute to give Besiktas an early lead.

    Lyon's Corentin Tolisso and Jeremy Morel scored a goal each in the 83rd and 84th minute to lead in the first leg.

    UEFA Europa League reaches quarter-final stage

    The UEFA Europa League reached its quarter-final stage, with eight teams remaining to fight for the title.

    In the quarter-finals, Manchester United(England) are to meet Anderlecht(Belgium), Genk(Belgium) will face Celta Vigo(Spain), Schalke 04(Germany) will up against AFC Ajax(Netherlands) and Beşiktaş(Turkey) is drawn against Lyon(France).

    The first leg of the quarter-finals was played on 13 April, while the second leg is scheduled on 20th.

    Reasons

    What triggered the crowd to go on the fields?

    Lyon supporters were forced to take refuge on the pitch to avoid the projectiles and fireworks coming from the upper stands, which comprised of the away fans.

    The authorities had already categorized the fixture as a 'high risk' and had stationed about 500 police officers, more than double the usual number.

    With fans on the pitch, the players left the field before the game.

    Dendoncke denies Manchester United a win

    A late strike from Leander Dendoncke helped Anderlecht draw 1-1 against Manchester United in the first match of the Europa League quarter-finals.

    Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored his fourth straight away goal for Manchester United in the 36th minute to get a lead for the visitors.

    However, Dendoncke struck in the 86th minute to draw the game, leaving United to work hard at Old Trafford.
