    What's the story

In a teaser video, Xiaomi has hinted at the launch of a new smartphone at its global event scheduled for June 28.

The 20-second video shows a probable smartphone box and ends with a text which translates to "gift from the future".

According to reports, this "gift" is expected to be either Mi Max 3 or Mi A2.

    Here are the finer details.

    Connecting the dots

    What are the speculations?

Xiaomi's "gift" could very well be Mi A2 which is said to be the global version of the recently launched Android One-based Mi 6X smartphone.

However, given that the Chinese electronics giant hasn't confirmed anything about Mi A2, the company might launch Mi Max 3.

Moreover, the large form-factor of the box in the teaser also hints at the much-rumored Mi Max 3.
