    Alongside the latest Redmi 6 Pro smartphone, Xiaomi has also launched its budget range tablet, the Mi Pad 4.

    The tabled, designed for single hand use, comes in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE variants.

    Moreover, the Mi Pad 4 also gets AI-based Face Unlock technology for secure unlocking of the device.

    Mi Pad 4: At a glance

    The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 features an 8-inch full-HD (1920x1200 pixels) display with 16:10 aspect ratio and pixel density of 283ppi.

    The tablet is by powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset clocked upto 2.2GHz, paired with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage (non-expandable).

    Mi Pad 4 runs Android-based MIUI 9, packs a 6,000mAh battery and comes in Black and Gold color finishes.

    The Wi-Fi model of the tablet costs CNY 1,099 (approx. Rs. 11,500) for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage, CNY 1,399 (approx. Rs. 14,600) for the 4GB RAM/64GB variant. The Wi-Fi+LTE model is priced at CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 15,600) for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage model.

    The Mi Pad 4 gets a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and HDR support, and a 5-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

    Connectivity options on the tablet include 4G LTE (single Nano-SIM), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band), Bluetooth v5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C, GPS/A-GPS (LTE variant).

    Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope and digital compass (LTE variant).
