    Xiaomi is working to launch Mi A2, the global variant of Xiaomi Mi 6X which runs stock Android.

    Several leaks and reports about Mi A2 have already given us quite a lot information about the device's design and specs.

    In the latest update, an image of an alleged working Mi A2 has surfaced online, revealing key details of the upcoming smartphone.

    What does the latest leak tell us about the phone?

    The leaked photo, which shows the 'About Phone' section, shows an alleged Mi A2 running stock Android Oreo (8.1) along with May Android Security patch installed.

    Moreover, the image also confirms previous reports that suggested that Mi A2, the successor to last year's Mi A1, will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset.

    Xiaomi Mi A2 will come under Android One program

    Like its predecessor, Mi A2 will be a part of the Android One program. Under the initiative, Google offers stock Android experience, tailored for mid-spec devices. Android One smartphones also get optimized Google Assistant, Google Play Protection and free updates for at least two years.

    According to leaked images, Mi A2 looks pretty similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro. The phone sports a modern design with slim top and bottom bezels and narrow side bezels.

    On the rear, the phone gets an iPhone X-like dual-lens setup and fingerprint sensor.

    It will get a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) display, like the one seen on its Chinese counterpart.

    Mi A2 will come with a dual rear camera setup comprising a 12-megapixel primary sensor. And for selfies, the phone is tipped to sport a 20-megapixel front camera. Moreover, we expect the phone to come with in-trend Portrait mode and HDR support.

    Under the hood

    Mi A2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

    The phone is also said to come with a 3,010mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.

    In terms of connectivity options, it is tipped to get 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, Bluetooth v5.0, and USB Type-C.

    According to a listing on a Swiss website, the Mi A2 32GB storage variant comes at CHF 289 (approx. Rs. 19,800), the 64GB storage version is listed at CHF 329 (approx. Rs. 22,500), while the 128GB variant is priced at CHF 369 (approx Rs. 25,200).
