Tinder's data indicates that about 51% of users below 30 already share date details with friends, while 19% do so with their mothers.
The company believes it's always a good idea to inform someone about your whereabouts when you're going on a date, and provide details about the person you are meeting for safety reasons.

Tinder's 'Share My Date' feature will be available in several countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Ireland, and France.
Germany, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, Netherlands, Italy, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam, will also get it.
This move follows a similar initiative by Tinder owner Match.com in 2020, which introduced a date check-in feature for user safety.
