Samsung announces Galaxy J4 Core Android Go smartphone
What's the story
As its second Android Go smartphone after the J2 Core, Samsung has launched the Galaxy J4 Core.
The key features of the phone include its 6-inch TFT display, a 3,300mAh battery, and entry-level internals.
Like the J2 Core, the J4 Core runs Android Go (Oreo edition) and comes with optimized apps such as YouTube Go, and Maps Go among others.

What is Android Go?
Google's Android Go OS is an optimized version of the latest Android Oreo which is designed for low-configuration smartphones. The software comes with the lite version of several Google apps which load faster, consume less data, and take up less space.

Galaxy J4 Core: At a glance
In comparison to J2 Core, the J4 Core has an overall improved design.
However, as a budget-friendly device, the J4 Core still sports a conventional rectangular display with slim top and bottom bezels.
On the back, there's a single rear camera with an LED flash.
The Samsung Galaxy J4 Core sports a 6-inch HD+ TFT display with a resolution of 720×1480 pixels.

On the back, the Galaxy J4 Core sports an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash module. Up front, the phone gets a 5-megapixel selfie snapper with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Galaxy J4 Core is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM - similar to J2 Core.
However, the phone does come with some improvements.
The J4 Core packs 3,300mAh battery and offers an increased 16GB inbuilt storage that is expandable upto 512GB.
Notably, Samsung is yet to announce the pricing and availability of the phone.
